Joshua Simandjuntak

Joshua is a passionate furniture designer whose vision and goal is to see innovativeness of Indonesian furniture design receive world-wide appreciation. Joshua began his journey and training as an artist in Central St. Martin School of Art and Design, London. He continued his training as a furniture designer at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in Kent.

His return to Indonesia brought him the enriching experience of teaching at the Faculty of Art and Design, of the Institut Teknologi Bandung. His training and journey then continued in the prominent and prestigious Royal College of the Art, under the tutelage of professor Ron Arad. He formed a studio in London called the Fusion Design Studio, a studio which explored the use of multifunction objects. He’s worked for world-renowned, furniture designer, Tom Dixon, a fine collaboration that continues until today. Joshua is the recipient of “Gold Award Indonesia Good Design Selection (IGDS) 2008”, “Honourable mention: Hellen Hamlyn Research Center Award - Royal College of Art 2000”, “International Young Creative Entrepreneur from British Council 2011”. 

 His experience and achievements have brought him further into exciting and important projects, both private and government-initiated projects, all of which has helped the industry to improve on their designs. Through Zylia, he works towards the realization of his vision. His journey grows even longer as it is enriched, it is a long journey but one worth every step of the way.

Fachril Fathiansyah 

Fachril is experienced in the plastic injection and packaging industries, his interest in the mechanical and electrical aspects of design is an invaluable component to Karsa’s new approaches in design—the use of LED in our upcoming lighting collections is part of his ingenuity into Karsa’s collection.

Irma Febriani

Irma has spent her time designing for local home accessories brand in Jakarta and furniture brand in Bali. Known for the wit and freshness of her design, Irma’s creations now continue to be enjoyed by people through her work with Karsa. 

Diaz Adisastomo 

Fresh graduate student from Institut Teknologi Bandung, with a major in Product Design, Diaz proudly join Karsa as a Junior Designer. His impeccable taste and interest for sustainable material in furnitures, combined with his restless exploration of designs have been awarded and recognized by the Singapore Furniture Design Award 2013 for the student category.
